The latest listing on ESRB shows that there are three new PSone classics to appear on the Playstation Store in the near future.

The games are:-

  • Extreme Pinball
  • Hi-Octane
  • Sim Theme Park

There’s already a horde of PSone classics, these three add to that collection.

The Massive Action Game (MAG) beta has been underway and many people have posted their feedback to Sony. What most people are wondering is the cost and how it will be distributed.

Jill Webber, PR representative for MAG said:

MAG is available only on Blu-ray and will be priced at $59.99.

It will not be available on the Playstation Network.

MAG is due for release on the 26th of January 2010.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has revealed that they plan to put Uncharted and Uncharted 2 back on the market in a gold slipcase. The pack will cost around 7,980 yen and will be released on the 18th of Feb 2010.

Yakuza 3 will be released in the UK afterall. Sega has confirmed the release date of the 12th of March 2010, so the wait is almost up!

Gary Knight, Marketing of Europe said:

Yakuza 3 was one of the most requested titles for localisation by our European SEGA community, so we are delighted to be able to fulfil their wishes with this announcement.

As well as delving even further into the rich narrative of the Yakuza universe, the development team have pushed the PlayStation 3 hardware to the limits to produce a beautiful and startlingly realistic depiction of the Japanese underworld.

Sony Computer Entertainment has released some information regarding it’s motion controller, including a release date. The controller will be released fall of 2010 in Japan, Asian regions and countries, North America and Europe/PAL territories together with an extensive line-up of exciting software titles.

Kazuo Hirai said:

We have decided to release the Motion Controller in fall 2010 when we will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users,

We will continue to work to have a comprehensive portfolio of attractive and innovative games for the Motion Controller, not only from [Sony] Worldwide Studios but also from the third party developers and publishers, whom we have been working closely with. We look forward to soon unveiling the exciting software line-up that further expands and defines the PS3 platform as the ultimate entertainment system for the home.

Let’s see what sort of games we will be playing this Christmas.

For those of you keeping a close eye on BioShock 2, you’ll be glad to hear that there will be downloadable content. Kent Hudson of 2k Marin said:

Absolutely! We are working on pretty aggressive plans for DLC and that’s actually something that is already under-way. That is something that is mostly being run out of the Marin studio because like I said the Australian studio is already ramping up on the next big thing.

I think we all predicted this but it is now officially confirmed.

Grin was a title in the works secretly by Square Enix, the unannounced Final Fantasy project codenamed Fortress is a sequel to Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

The game is being developed by another studio, possibly Eidos Montreal. Check out the tech demo.

That’s right, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the 4th best selling game of all time. Anita Frazier of the NPD group said:

The best selling game of the month was Super Mario Bros. Wii, which also captures the third spot on the annual top 10 list for 2009,

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has become the fourth best selling game of all time. In fact, three of the top ten games of all time are Call of Duty games.

Well done to Activision and Infinity Ward!

You can now play through the campaign mode with a friend because the latest update is available for Tekken 6 that will enable this very mode.

The update weighs in at just 16MB, the next time you play the game you will be prompted to download the update.
