There are so many games missing from this list, such as Quantum Theory, EyePet, FAT PRINCESS!!!, DC Universe,Free Realms, and where’s ff13?… uve got versus 13 though.

I do hope that Sony has a bunch of games not shown/ announced as of yet for the year. Like a surprise announcement from SCEJ would be nice.

The articles states that some of the games may not be announced yet but could be in 2009.

I have to admit that I doubt ND will release Jak 4… they have already stated that work will begin on it after Uncharted.
It’ll come next year, just like how Insomniac are releasing a major game a year.

I’d like to think Team ICO may release whatever they’re working on next year. Should that happen, that could very well end up as the game of the year.

That said, this caught my eye - “but theres one thing i didnt do, buy an Xbox 360!”. Erm… why not? They’re so cheap now it seems churlish not to. There are few real needs to own a Wii, but owning both a 360 and PS3 certainly makes life as a gamer so much easier. No more stressing over exclusives, no more fanboy posturing. Just buy games and enjoy them. It’s really quite rewarding, you should try it. Personally I’m currently enjoying Fable 2 and Fallout 3 on my 360, Gears 2 is out this week too. And on my PS3 I’m playing Little Big Planet, Dead Space, and I’ll be getting Resistance 2 soon as well.

It’s a matter of principles, there are a lot of reasons NOT TO OWN A 360, the stupid ring of dead 4 starts, have to pay the the fucking membership, and having 2 consoles (Wii Doesn’t count, is like Switzerland) turns you even more in to a fanboy, plus you entering microsoft net of deceives, owning 2 consoles it’s just to much money and time investment, choose a side and stick to it, don’t try to defend both, LET US FIGHT IN PEACE. ;}

Okay, that’s your loss. As for choosing a side, I can’t think of anything more pointless than swearing allegiance to a multinational corporation that exists for the sole purpose of making as much money as possible. I’m here for the games, nothing more.

This is an incoherent rant with weak arguments against owning both consoles. Maybe I’ve just been sucked into Microsoft’s “net of deceives” (?) but not owning both really limits you from enjoying great games that you would miss out on otherwise. Not likely. I’m sure they will announce the game in 2009 - if the project isn’t canceled meanwhile - and there will only be a release in 2010. If not late 2010. Believe me, don’t get your hopes high.

I don’t know if anyone said this before, but how about Way of the Samurai 3? Q-Games might have something interesting on its way - like a new PixelJunk title I suppose and, of course, thatgamecompany is still working hard to release the PSN game Flower - which promises not to disappoint!

Also I’m sure that Japan Studio might have other games under way, namely Game Republic, creators of Genji and Folksoul.

Agreed, 2009 looks great. Im looking fwd to GT5, Uncharted 2, inFamous, WKC & the possibility of a new Twisted Metal. However for Sony to truly ‘make’ 2009 they need a PS3 price drop. As long as the PS3 remains a distant 3rd in sales it will always suffer crap multiplatform ports & losses of exclusives.

The title of the next Jak & Daxter game is apparantly “Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier”. However it was originally penned in for a release THIS year………so, much like Final Fantasy, i don’t know if it’ll even make a release this millenium.
