Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that LittleBigPlanet has seen a massive 84,000 user-created levels uploading since the game’s release at the beginning of this month.
We couldn’t be happier with the initial efforts from our community members; the variety and quality of some of the creations has been astounding. We’ve seen everything from great platform adventures, puzzles and quizzes through to stories and races. We have even had a wedding proposal created entirely in the game!
I wonder how many of those levels got moderated. In a report on ThreeSpeech, here’s a few tips.
Ensure that the content you share with other users is suitable for all ages – everybody has access to your level if you publish it.
Please respect other people’s intellectual property rights. For example, don’t use images, brands or logos that you’re not entitled to use.
Have you had any levels modded?

Killzone 2 is an undisputed winner graphicallyKillzone 2 looks brilliant visually, you can check out all the Killzone 2 videos we’ve published. Experts have said that the game is the Undisputed Winner in terms of graphics power.
Graphically, Killzone 2 is an undisputed winner. Initially it does look rather blurry. Yes, this is in part down to the quincunx anti-aliasing, but it’s mostly due to the motion blur. I’m not a fan of blurring in video games, but the entire range of techniques used in Killzone 2 combines to create a look and feel that is entirely its own, deeply immersive, and – in the heat of battle – brutal, visceral and quite unlike any other game.
It’s not just the graphics that make Killzone 2 so good, it’s the other things around it.
while the actual graphics themselves aren’t really a generation beyond anything we’ve seen recently in terms of geometry or textures, I think it’s the handling of those visuals that makes it truly stand out. The motion blur, the post-processing, the lighting, the shadows, the animation of your player’s movements… all of it is geared towards a closer emulation of reality.
Not long until the game is released.
Check out the screenshots.

Below is a video of Need for Speed Undercover. It shows the first 10 minutes of the game so if you don’t want the game ruining don’t watch the video.

Another look at Eight DaysAs you know Eight Days got cancelled a few months ago and the Playstation community weren’t happy at all because the game looked so good. The only thing we could look at was the E3 2006 tech demo that was believed to be in-game footage.
As we all waited we got teased with some animation footage that made it’s way to the Internet. This made the game look even better than the E3 2006 presentation.
And now, we are now presented with more footage of the game, this time in-game! Jim Jagger, 3D animator for the game, has released a demo reel containing footage of Eight Days. Here it is:-
How good did that look? Looked like the game made some significant progress. Guess we will never see it.

First Drake Fortune bundles spottedWith the holiday season closing in, and Sony’s promised hardware and peripherals release date nearing the first 160GB consoles have been spotted in the wild.
Engadget was informed by one of their readers that he spotted the special bundle at Best Buy and was friendly enough to take a picture. If you look good at the right lower section of the picture this SKU will cost you $499 like we announced earlier.
Also we can see from the picture that this version will have a 160GB harddrive, a DualShock 3 controller and the game Drake’s Fortune, the question remains will it have the $70 worth of downloadable content on it as well or just a PSN voucher of that amount?

Keypad available from the first week of DecemberThis week we were wondering about the PS3 keypad if it would still be released like we previously said, cause we had hardly hear any news of it since the announcement at the Leipzig Games Convention.
Well Gamespot talked to Ian Jackson, Vice President of Sales for Sony and he confirmed that the keypad is getting out a little later but still during the holiday season.
You can expect to see the first batch in the first week of December at retailers.
Perfect timing for a Home Open Beta release? You tell us.

Fifa 2009 game updateOn the UK forum of EA Sports, an employee announced that FIFA 09 has received an update following the feedback from the user on in the community. These are improvements from this update:
- Fixed side-stepping issue on lofted through balls
Fixing the issue where a player sidesteps when trying to control a lofted through ball instead of running straight onto it and controlling it, was a top priority for the EAC development team. We’re happy to say that the team at EAC has been able to fix this problem and it will be included in the game update. - Improved advantage rule: fixed goals being called back for free kicks
There was a problem in the advantage rule whereby the referee would call back a goal if it was scored when the advantage was being played. Instead the referee would give a FK or a PK to the fouled player. This issue has been resolved in the game update. Goals that are going in when a foul is committed will count when they score. - Improved number assigning in Manager Mode
When signing a player in Manager Mode the player now makes a more sensible decision, based on this position, on which number he would like, whereas previously he would always take the number 2. - Allowed up to 8 user-controlled teams in Tournament Mode
After installing the game update it will be possible to play in Tournament Mode with up to 8 user-controlled teams. This gives the option to host bigger events with your friends to compete in offline-tournaments. Have fun! - Removed ability to bring custom teams into Online ranked matches
Everybody has the option to transfer players in his favorite team and create his own custom dream team. This is an option we want to offer everybody to enjoy the feeling of creating own teams and play matches online or offline. When it comes to ranked competitive online matches we think only real teams should compete against each other to keep everybody’s chances even. So with the update it is no longer possible to enter a ranked match with a custom created team. You will still be able to upload your customized team online as in customized starting line-up with the existing players of that team’s roster - Fixed Stadium 23.Maj lag issue
We fixed a major frame rate issue in 23.Maj stadium. - Fixed join issue in Online Team Play Lobbies
A game hang issue occurred during search for available OTP game sections within the lobby rooms has been resolved.
Most of you will probably be glad with the advantage rule fix. And if you read the North American Store update, you noticed that they got commentary packs of non-english languages, but EU update didn’t. Well it did. After checking the store out we discovered that the EU store has also received the packs.
