If you live in Australia that is. Seems SCE Australia has a deal planned for their consumer base.
With every Playstation console that you buy, you will get a copy of LittleBigPlanet.

So your thinking this is a bundle or something, well it isn’t. This is really a free copy of LBP with every new console you buy.

This is mostly aimed for the holiday season. Since LittleBigPlanet has gotten so much attention as a fun game, this would be a way to lure the Wii crowd over to the ‘darkside’. Annoyed that you already ordered a copy of LBP (if you live in Australia). i would be too, but I can understand the strategy that Sony is using to get a broader crowd behind their console.

From this action we can presume that Australia will not be getting a LittleBigPLanet bundle like Japan.

popclassic425a Prince of Persia Classic on the Playstation Store this week

From this thursday you’ll be able to get the classic game Prince of Persia.
Most of you have probably played it on the PC and remember the annoying traps and tough guards. Well Ubisoft have spiced up this remake a bit by adding a new 3D engine to render the game.

Not only can you expect new character designs and animations but also newly added traps, puzzles and enemies.

No word on trophies yet, or price. But you can probably expect it to be in the same region as Bionic Commander: Rearmed when it released

After the latest unannounced addition in firmware 2.50 we stubled upon another.

recovery425ps3 Hidden Recovery menu with firmware 2.50

Seems Sony implemented a Recovery menu which you can access by holding down the power button to turn on the PS3 until you hear three beeps.
It only seems to work most of the times with people who’s PS3 froze and tried it out or users whom had issue with downloading/installing the firmware.

Some theories say this is something Sony added to counter the issues which arise with some users after installing a firmware. So instead sending you PS3 to the Sony repair centre, you can do it yourself.

sc4vaderyoda Yoda coming to the PS3

This all sound so familiar, but this time it’s for real.

Namco Bandai announced that you will be able to get Yoda on the PS3 as a DLC. Originally an exclusive for the Xbox 360, footage popped up of Yoda fighting Dark Vader a few months back. Some claimed it was very good editing while other were wondering if this would be available to at the launch of the game.

You will be able to get the Yoda from this Friday for around $5. No info on a European add-on date or price.

Sony are good at this, sneaking in additions without mentioning them. It seems that the latest firmware 2.50 adds the ability to allow multiple bluetooth devices.

ps3 multiple bluetooth Hidden Firmware 2.50 addition

So if you wanted to have another bluetooth device prior to the 2.50 update you would have to remove the current one from your PS3 and sync the new one up. That problem is now over thanks to firmware 2.50.

The demo of BioShock that was released on the Playstation Network a few weeks ago was a slight letdown. Playstation 3 fans were annoyed that they were to get a ‘bogged’ down version of the game. This is what the demo looked like.

Most of you have heard about Resistance 2’s online capabilities. The game will feature split screen online play through a co-op story mode, i bet most of you are wondering if your friend will be able to login into his/her PSN account.

The answer is yes and no. It will not be available from launch but could be available in a future patch, thats what Insomniac Games hope.

James Stevenson, Community Relations Manager, Insomniac Games says:

The story will be in the final game, there are both mission briefings and intel.

Your friend does not generate XP — we hope that at a certain point, we’ll be able to allow your friend to log into their own PSN account and earn their own XP, but right now that functionality isn’t available.
