Project Origin the standalone name for Monolith’s sequel for F.E.A.R. Monolith Productions Inc. and WB Games have purchased the F.E.A.R name from Activision-Blizzard so they now own rights to the name and can use it for the sequel. The game is now called F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin.

Quantum of Solace Exclusive Level Design Doc

John Diamonon of Capcom has made a post on the Playstation.Blog to inform readers that Mega Man 9 will be making it’s way to the Playstation Network with a cheap price of just $9.99. You  can check out the official Mega Man website by click here.

No word on a release date though, just a price.

Remember the Battlefront customized PSP, well the Gundam vs. Gundam game will get a similar customization.

As you can see the PSP will have a special Gundam-themed embossing on its backside. And according to PSPFanboy bundle will launch alongside the standalone game on November 20 in Japanwith a price of ¥24,840.

Letting the gamers know they still have something up their sleeves, Ubisoft announced that Prince of Persia will still be released this year. To be exact it will be out on December 2nd, 2008. Europe can expect it on December 4th.

The main character will be assisted by Elika, a female friend to fight Ahriman.

EA Dice has just announced the release date for their upcoming parkour game, Mirror’s Edge. The game is scheduled for release on November 11th, no announcement was made for dates on release outside of North America. 

That’s not all they had announced, there will also be a demo before the game’s release. If you pre-order the game on or after September 26th, you will get an exclusive code to unlock the Time Trail mode in the demo.

Peter Molyneux is an Xbox 360 Developer, and he goes on to talk about the PlayStation 3. He goes on to say that the PlayStation 3 needs to find its “defining games.” He speaks on what Sony needs to do, and gives praise for Little Big Planet.

“It is always one or two games which define a platform – it’s the same for the Wii, and the PlayStation 2,” offered Molyneux.

“I think the PlayStation 3 is still waiting for that definition title that represents the platform – and I think that’s what hardware manufacturers need to do, find that defining title.

“I’m incredibly proud of what they’ve done, and it’s just an amazing experience to see how their game has progressed,” he said.

“If we want to bring people in who haven’t played games before, wherever they are in the world and whatever their cultural background, whatever their sex or age, then we’ve got to think out of the box and start creating stuff which fascinates those people. I think LBP could be one of those.”

In the latest issue of Game Informer, they’ve reported that Sackboy will be a bonus character for download in the PSN title, PAIN. 

The latest issue of Game Informer reports that SackBoy will appear as a bonus character at some point in the future for the PlayStation Network downloadable title Pain. Though the magazine doesn’t provide any information on when or how SackBoy will be made available, we can already hear the cringes and gasps PS3 owners will be making as they whip the poor guy into various death traps to rack up points.

When 1UP heard of this news, they bumped the grade up on PAIN. 

Upon hearing the news about SackBoy’s journey to Pain, Nick Suttner, the author of 1UP’s review of the downloadable game, immediately raised the score three grades and proclaimed Pain his runner-up game of the year. Behind LittleBigPlanet, of course

White Knight Chronicles has been confirmed to be released on the 25th of December 2008. Earlier than expected. CEO of Level 5 Akihiro Hino confirmed this in a recent interview in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. This release date is for Japan, no word on U.S or the EU.

We are summoned to the level 5 studio today, does that means there are going to be any news on the White Knight game?
