Many people were wondering whether bots will make it into Killzone 2. After reading gamepro’s multiplayer preview, they mention bots will be in the game..

Eric Boltjes, senior online designer confirmed that A.I bots will be available to both online and offline games. Whats better is the fact that these bots will mimic human behavior and use all special abilites just like a normal player would.

So for those that want to practice before the real deal, you now can!

According to a report from Engadget Japan the LCD screen on the new PSP has a more colorful, a stronger contrast ratio, and a faster response time.

The stats show that:

  • Color gamut is twice as wide.
  • The contrast ratio is improved 5 times.
  • The response time has doubled

This is very good news to gamers who complained about ghosting. Count this in with the screen being able to resist glare (must still be tested in the field) and you could say this is a good upgrade of an hardware.

VG247 are seeing a closed demo of the game at the Games Convention, and Quantic’s David Cage is walking through the demo that extends and includes the trailer released yesterday.

Here’s the list:

  • You only control the head shoulders of the character, to move you just press a button.
  • The main character is investigating a number of disappearances and will be going to the house of a taxidermist.
  • Everything is context sensitive.
  • The interface is designed for emotion, whatever you feel the character feels.
  • The protagonist is a journalist trying to get a story. Inspecting the house she finds dead women strewn about.
  • SIXAXIS is used to open windows and look through keyholes.
  • There are different endings to each scenario depending on how the player plays.

Coming from Eurogamer, Quantic Dream has confirmed there will be a demo of the game before the game releases, and it will steer away from the main story line.

Quantic Dream has also hinted of future downloadable content to extend the main story, and for future titles.

Heavy Rain is due for release in 2009, stay tuned to TalkPlayStation.com as we get more news on this game.

The new expansion pack for Warhawk will be available by the end of the month, and will include a new map: Tau Crater, and a Jetpack for foot soldiers.

Warhawk™: Operation: Fallen Star expansion pack
The third expansion pack for mighty online warfare title Warhawk, Operation: Fallen Star introduces the remote, forested Tau Crater – the site of a crashed Chernovan warship containing invaluable experimental technology. With the Chernovans trying desperately to salvage the ship, the Eucadians have arrived with a view to stealing it for themselves. This pack brings ten new battlefields to the Warhawk experience – as well as the Infantry Jetpack – a personal rocket pack that allows soldiers to soar above the fray of battle into the aerial realm of the Warhawks themselves.

With Incognito continuing to support the Warhawk fanbase, the game continues to get better and better. Don’t forget the FREE 1.5 update is coming on August 27th. The 1.5 update is going to include Trophies, Custom In Game Music, Training Tutorials, and more.

Joystiq was kind enough to release a trailer of the new expansion pack.

We even got some screenshots. Courtesy of Kotaku

Alyssa Casella over at the PlayStation.Blog gave a rundown on how the PS2 SingStar songs can be played on the PS3 SingStar. The ability to play your PS2 SingStar songs on the PS3 version is enabled through a disc swap feature.

While playing a SingStar PS3 disc, at the song select screen, hit the [select] button to swap discs and play the songs from the inserted disc. The songs are not saved to the hard drive.

The feature can be used on all current PS3 models, a system update is not necessary but a game update will be necessary. The feature will also work on future SingStar PS3 titles.
