New Resistance 2 Trailer
Eurogamer just got the new trailer of Resistance 2. The trailer shows no gameplay footage. Just a ‘Twisted History’ of the Resistance Universe. You can view the trailer here.
Resistance 2 is one of the most anticipated titles on the PlayStation 3 developed by Insomniac. You can find Resistance 2 only on the PlayStation 3, and the game is due for release in November 2008.

Heavy Rain Will Have Home SupportComing from videogamer.com, David Cage has announced Heavy Rain is going to support Home. He didn’t go into any details as how they will support Home.
Cage, founder and CEO of Quantic Dream, the French developer of 2005’s critically acclaimed Fahrenheit, was speaking this morning during a live hands-on demo in Sony’s behind closed door booth at Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. He did not, however, offer any details how Home will be incorporated into the game.
While Home is anticipated by PS3 users, there is no set release date for the service, but an Open Beta is planned for later this year.

UK Little Big Planet Pre-OrderLooks like Europe is finally getting some incentives when Pre-ordering Little Big Planet. If you pre-order the game off of Play.com you will get the Nariko costume as an in game character.
Pre-Order LittleBigPlanet from Play.com and receive the Heavenly Sword starlet ‘Nariko’ as an exclusive in-game character. Access to PlayStation Network required to download the character. Instructions on how to download Nariko will be sent during the week of release.

Sony has announced they will be releasing a MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo as part of Qore. Those who subscribe and download Qore episode 4 will get access to the demo and get to play a month before anyone else.
But what about the people in Europe who can’t download Qore? It appears that the demo will be released on the Playstation Network as a free download a week before the full version is released early october.
No specific date has been set for the demo but early September sounds good.
Dead Space is looking like a brilliant game and is a one to keep your eye on. Below is a gameplay video from GC 2008.
Be careful where you aim that thing, some of the dead carry the undead.
Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata has been speaking with Gamepro and said that the survival horror gets really scary towards the end of the game.
Is there anything in RE5 that surprises you in terms of gameplay or story?
No, not really because I’ve been working on the game since the planning stage so I know the whole game. Also, we’re pretty much pushing action gameplay in the first half of the game but we haven’t forgotten that this is a horror game. So the second half of the game will be scary. The game will be really really scary towards the end.
So basically it’s more action based in the first half and then when you cross over the half way line it gets more scary. Sounds good to me.

You’ll be able to play through 100 unqiue missions through the single player adventure mode. The game will be release exclusively for the Playstation 3 in November.

Mirrors Edge Timed PS3 Exclusive?According to a post made in the NeoGAF forums, a member posted a quote made from a E-mpire Forums member translating that Mirrors Edge will be a timed exclusive on the PS3.

According to Reeves, Mirrors Edge will be a timed exclusive on PS3… PC and 360 will follow much later!
If this is true then it brings good news for the PlayStation 3. This will give the yet another PlayStation 3 another exclusive (even if its timed), and developers can start thinking of what good it can bring when developing on the PS3 first for multiplatform titles.

Qore Episode 4 Sneak PeekI just got an e-mail from the PlayStation Underground. Coming in next months episode will be info on Little Big Planet, info on the new Prince of Persia, MotorStorm Pacific Rift and Bioshock info. Exclusive to Ep. 4 and annual subscribers, a demo of MotorStorm Pacific Rift will be available a full month early then the public. Also a Little Big Planet theme.
Qore Episode 4 will be released on September 4th, and is only available to US PSN users.

Killzone 2 beta ‘coming soon’For those waiting for the Killzone 2 beta won’t have to wait much longer because the beta will be here soon. Eric Boltjes, the senior online gameplay designer for Killzone 2 has said the following.
One more day of Leipzig remains and then it’s onto the Public Beta which is coming soon! Getting even more feedback and putting our game to the test once more. It is a lot of work but it is also a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to getting the whole world to get a glimpse of Killzone 2 Online Multiplayer
No word on how to apply but at least it’s pretty much confirmed and coming soon.
