Resistance 2 Cover ArtHere’s the Resistance 2 Cover for Europe Regions. It won’t have the ThreeSpeech.com at the bottom, nor does it have the correct rating. The rating hasn’t been confirmed yet. Much to the surprise it looks like one of the three covers in the upcoming Collector’s Edition. Does this mean that Europe won’t be getting the Collector’s Edition, or does Insomniac have a different Cover for the Collector’s Edition?

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has told Eurogamer that he looks forward to a day when people stop asking him about Metal Gear Solid 4 being ported over to the Xbox 360.
Kojima said:
“I’ve been doing a lot of interviews and stage shows, and half the questions are like ‘Will MGS4 be coming out on 360 or other formats?’, and in the near future I hope they’ll ask me about Metal Gear, about us, about our future projects, and will stop caring about the hardware,”
Kojima has said that he has not chosen to port MGS4 over to the X360 because it is optimised for the PS3 and is probably not possible on the 360.
“But, you know, what kind of disturbs me sometimes, because a lot of people ask me about this PS3/360 question, is that it’s not about the hardware – I want people to look at the game itself. Sometimes I even feel like it should be on a PC so that people don’t ask me about hardware and platforms,”
Hideo Kojima answered a question about his future titles and where they will belong.
“If we’re talking about the future – not MGS4, but my future titles, if we’re referring to that – if the hardware technology rises then obviously, you know, it won’t be based on the hardware anymore. Probably I will first create the software and then, um, it’s a strange word to say, but port to other hardware if that technological ability rises in all areas.”
could this mean that the PS3 could be the lead platform and then ported over to the Xbox 360?

The producer of upcoming fighting game Street Fighter IV has said that it’s fair for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions to have the same characters in the game. Yoshinori Ono spoke with VideoGamer.com and basically said that he doesn’t believe in platform exclusive characters and didn’t think it would be fair.
“Well this is just my policy, but I don’t want to give an exclusive character for any particular console. And that applies to downloadable characters as well. Because it’s not very fair, when you think about this as a board game or a tool. Hidden characters? If we’re going to talk about hidden characters they won’t be hidden any more!”
if you was waiting to see if there are any platform exclusive characters, you’ve just found out. Buy the PS3 version!

What do you guys think the title will be? Maybe we can learn more of the title at TGS?

You’ll be playing through 36 single player missions, or you you battle online head-to-dead in 8 player modes. Modes include; Deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag.
Here’s a video.

The producer of Street Fighter IV Yoshinori Ono has spoken about the recent rumors stating that SFIV will be released around the same time as the movie.
Ono in an interview told VideoGamer.com that Capcom’s R&D team has no idea about the suggested timing and stated that the publisher still doesn’t know when the console version of the game will be released.
Ono said:
“Our R&D team didn’t know much about this timing! They are just put under pressure by those people sitting outside. So at the moment development time wise, we’ve just about managed to take on the arcade version on console. Obviously we have to balance the game and add on the other features for the console version. We’re just working on it. We still don’t know.”
It could be out this year in time for Christmas, but don’t hold your hopes up.

Publisher Exclusives Thing of the Past?In an interview at gamesindustry.biz with David Reeves, he believes that exclusives with publishers are a ”thing of the past,” but exclusive with developers is something that “may work.”
“But for developers, and you could take someone like Quantic Dream for example – a great game, it takes a lot of time to develop, they need a little bit of funding, external development. In exchange, it’s exclusive – that works. So exclusivity possibly with developers is more likely that exclusivity with publishers.”
David Reeves also hinted things which may be announced at TGS. At TGS software related is going to be the theme for Sony’s Press Conference.
