The graphics in the Playstation 3 version of BioShock will not be improved according to 2K games when they confirmed the news to VideoGamer.com. 2K games are believed to be concentrating on matching the visuals rather than bettering them. This really isn’t a bad thing since it is a port. If it was being developed from scratch then yes, the visual would have been improved.
2K Games senior producer Melissa Miller said:
“We’re looking to match the quality of the original version. We want to make sure that the water is just as great, and I think you can see from the demonstration, that it looks no different from the 360 version.”

For those of you who are waiting for the release of Wipeout HD, you could be waiting a little longer. Wipeout HD didn’t attend E3 at all, not one mention of it. I bet your wondering where the hell the game is. Believe it or not, Wipeout HD has failed epilepsy tests and has to be re-engineered before it can go on sale.
All the strobe lighting effects and speed is apparently too much for your eyes. No further information is available just yet.

Another exclusive in questionThe image above shows a piece of an interview with Haruki Suzaki and Ryuichi involved with the Tekken 6 game, one quote is very disturbing for Playstation 3 gamers and Tekken lovers. Asked if the game will be on other consoles like the 360 their reply was:
As of the moment, we have no idea
At this moment we have no idea what this will mean for the Playstation and it’s long lover Tekken. But for a developers starting development in 2005 for this game it seems a weird choice they didn’t focus on this earlier. Was it to see how the console wars would go or a pure coincidence of exclusivity loses of consoles.
The only good things we can get out of the interview is that the game will be out in december 2008.

Rade Stojsavljevic, MAG Sr. Producer has posted over at the Playstation.Blog the first ever in-game screenshot of the upcoming 256 player online shooter.
Stojsavljevic reassures gamers that MAG is a shooter at its core and you can run around shooting enemies, throwing grenades and drive vehicles just like any other shooter apart from in MAG you’ll be playing with up to 256 players.
Here’s an in-game screenshot.

Europe will get PSN gamesSony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves has said that all the Playstation Network titles announced during the E3 2008 Press Conference will come to PAL territories.
“We are making every effort to make these day and date with the US releases, but please appreciate that we have not one language, we have 13 languages and 27 stores – it takes a while to get these totally localised and uploaded,”
So its not all that bad for Europe, David is working really hard to make this happen.

BioShock PS3 trophies has been officially confirmed by Alyssa Finley, Executive Producer at 2K Games. Writing over at the Playstation.Blog, Alyssa has said that the design team over at 2K Marin has spent some time with the Trophy system the PS3 has introduced.
The Trophies for the PS3 are ranked as if you, the game player, were an Olympian. It seemed only right that we organize our thoughts by this method.
Our first batch out of the Trophy-maker, were the Bronze Trophies.
The aim of the Trophies system for BioShock is to make the player explore the BioShock world, each system in BioShock has a reward for the player that digs deep enough. So if your after that Platinum Trophy, expect to be playing this game for hours on end.
Here’s details on the Silver and Gold trophies.
Silver Trophies were next to be handed out.
For the true explorer, we present one of the more difficult Trophies to get in all of Rapture. The “Historian” Trophy is awarded for finding every single audio diary. This particular Trophy is Silver because we understand the rigor required for this endeavor. If you’re a true adventurer and seek to know the full story of the fall of Rapture, look under every desk and open every door. There are many to find.
As you may expect, several Trophies must remain secret. Giving this information away has the same effect as turning to the last page in a great book. We imagine you hate this as much as we do. The other silver Trophy must remain in our vault until you discover it for yourselves.Next we turned to the Gold Trophies, the real beauties.
When considering how to use these Trophies to reward players, we chose to give a respectful nod to those few who desire a challenge. We believe that BioShock PS3 has a lot to offer in a single play through, but we wanted to emphasize and reward a player’s second or third descent into Rapture. This led us to create new Trophies that encourage more advanced tactics and enemies that provide a greater challenge.
As a result of this thinking the first Trophy bears the name, “Brass Balls”. If you desire to be among the few who have this prestigious award on their mantle, you must win BioShock on Hard difficulty with the Vita-Chambers turned off. A feat so daring that anyone even glimpsing this formidable Trophy in your glass case will be shaking with terror and respect.
Alyssa warned that there will be more trophies to be revealed that will push you further than this. Head over to the Playstation.Blog for more information.

Konami has admitted that there is no permanent solution to the on-going problems found in Metal Gear Online.
Heavy server load has pretty much destroyed Konami’s system since the new Metal Gear Online Gene Expansion went live on the 17th of July. Looks like gamers rushed online to get the update and start playing the new maps etc.
Konami has said this:
“We have been taking numerous corrective measures since the problems initially started, but unfortunately there are no permanent solutions we can announce at this present moment.”

Will FF Versus XIII go to X360?There are chances. Let me explain the theory as to how and why Final Fantasy Versus XIII could appear to the Xbox 360. Whether Square-Enix announce it at a later date as a straight release or a timed exclusive on the Playstation 3, then makes it way to the 360 some time after, it could happen.
Why it could go to X360
As some of you know there is a connection between FFXIII and Versus. The only real connection is they’re all under one compilation (Fabula Nova Crystallis) that unites the games under one big theme. Not only that but both games take place in the same universe, but neither story conflicts with each other. Square-Enix probably still doesn’t know what to do yet and are most likely still thinking of ideas. The two stories may conflict in some way. If this is true and Versus doesn’t get a X360 release, are they screwed?
What if the rest of the story unfolds in Versus? What if you need to play Versus to find out what happened to so and so? There are many things that could lead into Versus.
Square-Enix went through bankruptcy when they release the Final Fantasy movie and they are still chasing the loses. This could make their minds up eventually. Also, if FFXIII sells well on X360, whats to stop them from releasing Versus?
Remember a year ago when Square-Enix were saying that FFXIII is a PS3 exclusive?
Why it won’t go to X360
The first one is that Tetsuya Nomura doesn’t want it to go to the X360. Why? Because he probably knows that the Playstation Fanbase will go against Square-Enix, he loves the PS3 and has no intention of making the game for the X360. Afterall, PS3 isn’t getting Start Ocean 4 or Infinite Undiscovery… yet.
They announced at E3 2008 that Versus is a PS3 exclusive.
If Versus went to the X360, what will the PS3 have in terms of exclusivity from Square-Enix? Ok, they are going to be announcing something shortly that is supposed to turn the favour back into Sony’s hands. it has to be a big announcement like a Final Fantasy VII remake.
Versus exclusivity at the moment
At this moment in time FFXIII Versus is a Playstation 3 exclusive. Do you think Versus could make an appearance on the Xbox 360?

SCEE spread the news that all user-generated content in LittleBigPlanet will be free at launch.
SCEE and Media Molecule can guarantee that all consumer-generated content will be free at launch. We know how important this is to the LBP community and what we want most is for people to enjoy playing, creating and sharing their content
Obviously, we’re also excited about the future and David was talking about how user-generated content could potentially evolve in the long term. Any decisions that are taken to evolve LBP in the future, will include the community and focus purely on enhancing the user experience
Now it’s just the wait for a important release period in the fall for Sony/Playstation.
For people that didn’t know yet, the LittleBigPlanet website is live. Also check the Video/Trailers section here for some of the latest in-game footages.

According to a member over on the IGN Boards, he was watching G4 The Dark Knight preview with Kritin Holt interviewing Gary Oldman, who plays Jim Gordon in the movie. Oldman told Kristin that there really is a Dark Knight Game on the way.
“a Dark Knight Game in the works.”

Hungry for some more LittleBigPlanet details? Good. LittleBigPlanet will feature a massive 50 levels with bosses at the end of some levels, already packed in the game when you purchase it. There will be many challenges for specific gamers.
You can die in LBP, but there will be checkpoints in the game so if you do manage to die you will respawn at the latest checkpoint. Obviously it will be your choice whether you include checkpoints or not.
A dissapointing announcement is that you cannot play your own music in the game, Media Molecule prefer you to use their own made tracks instead.
With regards to bosses, how about making the boss as hard as possible, giving your friends a hard time?
