No PS3 Trophies for Ratchet and Resistance
It has been confirmed that Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Resistance: Fall of Man will not get patched to support Trophies.

Firmware 2.40 pulled offline due to problems
If your a lucky individual who successfully installed firmware 2.40 with no problems you won’t have any problems to come. There are a number of reports saying that they’ve had problems with firmware 2.4, saying that this firmware upgrade has ‘bricked’ their Playstation 3’s meaning it won’t boot up.
