According to this Neogaf forum post, Kratos is believed to be the next characters to be exlusive to the Playstation 3 version of the game.
Its from the rumor section of EGM, August 2008 issue.
“God of Soul. Kratos to be revealed as next Soulcalibur IV(PS3) character.”
Meanwhile PSU have been in touch with Namco Bandai to try and dig up this rumor and a Namco Bandai representative responded with:
“We don’t comment on rumors or speculations,”
They didn’t deny the rumor nor confirm it but i’m guessing the rumor is true.

This is just a minor update and will be available in the next few hours.

The next Warhawk patch/update version 1.4 is said to include two new game modes. A Playstation.com forum (thread now deleted) user called Gnob posted a screenshot of Home’s updated game-launching interface and the ‘play’ list option allows for the original modes, but now includes two new game modes called Hero mode and Collection mode.
No one knows what the objectives of these new game modes are but they sound pretty fun.

Earlier we posted information on Tomb Raider Underworld. We promised we would post some screenshots and here they are.

Metal Gear Solid 4 has sold more than 1 million units in it’s first week of release in Europe only. This was expected and i wonder what the official numbers are for the whole world. Konami have announced this officially.
Martin Schneider, sales and marketing director Germany Konami Digital Entertainment said:
“The Metal Gear Solid series has again proved its huge potential, and we are delighted with the fantastic response the game has enjoyed at retail,”
“MGS4 is nothing short of a masterpiece – an epic conclusion to the Solid Snake story. We are extremely pleased with the positive feedback we have received from retail and consumers alike, and will keep satisfying their needs with updates to the game’s ‘Extra’ option, and via new content to Metal Gear Online.”
Again, great news for Playstation 3 and Konami. Whats stop them from making more Metal Gear games if the series generates such massive sales?

A video of Dead Space from EA3 (Electronic Art’s show) has appeared on the net. This video has higher quality than the most recent Dead Space video we posted.

In-Game XMB not so complete? It seems that the long awaited in-game cross media bar isn’t as complete as users hoped. According to a member on the Gamefaqs forums who claims to work for Sony said that it won’t be complete XMB access. He did however say that you can play music (which confirms custom sound tracks for your games) and send messages to friends.
The only other option that this GameFAQS user could do is add a bluetooth device. Everything else he tried asked him to quit the game first before accessing restricted menu’s.
“It won’t be complete XMB access. You can for the most part play music and send messages, the only other option I’ve actually found that worked with the current build that was out was that you could add a bluetooth device. Every other option asked you to quit the game before being able to do anything else.”
Likewise, this can lifted in future firmware updates, allowing more access as time goes by.

Firmware 2.4 Insider InformationAccording to this thread over at GameFAQS quite a bit of information has been revealed. A member called ‘Knight613′ claims that he works for Sony Computer Entertainment working in the “Foster City” area.
If you take a look at the thread you will see that he’s talking a lot about Firmware 2.4 saying that it was meant to be released on the 18th of June but now has been delayed until the 1st,2nd or 3rd of July.
“2.40 was supposed to come out June 18th actually…till they found a pretty bad error with the XMB and had to fix it. New date is supposedly July 2ndish, maybe the 1st or 3rd. The RC release for 2.40 is already out though so it’s just a matter of time.”
But does this guy work for Sony? He says he does:
“I actually work for Sony unlike all the people here that say they do.”
Ok maybe he does, he even provided a name badge to proove it:
“The last memo to come in was on June 12th, that pushed back 2.40 from June 18th to July 1st-3rd. I would say to expect it then unless they were to find something wrong the with RC version that is out right now.”
So there we have it, insider information. By the looks of things it will be released at the beginning of July 2008.

Picture of the Trophy screen? While have a look on PS3FanBoy i ran into what looks like the trophy screen that will be included in the next firmware update, 2.4.
Ok, so is this real or not? Apparrently its real according to a tipster called ‘The Patriots’ who emailed the above picture. Not only that but another tipster called ‘Gassy Snake’ emailed the following picture in:
What your looking at is the Playstation 3’s gamer card.
“Gassy Snake also tells us that each trophy type will be worth a different number of points, so there are limits to how many of each trophy are in a single game. In order to progress through levels you will need to gain a certain number of trophy points. This number will increase with each level, making it more difficult to reach higher levels.”
At the moment this is just a rumor until someone officially confirms that the above pictures are legit.

ORZ/OR2, what the hell is it?Was searching around the internet and ran into a strange looking splash page on the Sony Japan website. Keep clicking on the logo and it will change from ORZ into OR2.
According to TheSixthAxis, ORZ/OR2 is a sequel to a dungeon game for the Playstation Portable.
‘Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida 2′, or ‘These Darn Adventures 2′
This seems like it won’t be release outside of Japan and will most likely be a Playstation Network game.
