Playstation 3 exclusive blockbuster shooter Resistance 2 will battle it out against 360’s Gears of War 2 this November. Resistance 2 and Gears of War 2 will be released a week apart from each other according to the latest rumors so this means it will put the two titles head to head.
Xbox 360 still has a larger install base by around 4 million units but i think it will be closed by November and if it isn’t it won’t be far off.
We will have to wait until November to see what happens.
The Metal Gear Solid 4 2008 Theatrical Trailer has found its way to the Internet and here it is. Released on June the 12th which is just around the corner. MGS4 is sure to be a system seller with a 80GB bundle available i’m sure this will shift many units and build a stronger install base.

Volatile Games have announced that two Triple A games are in development and they are currently hiring for the two projects. No details on the games themselves but i’m sure we will find out more when E3 is here. Click here to go to the official website.

The Official Street Fighter 4 character list is now available to see and we have it right here. 4 new characters have be revealed bringing to current total to 19. There are a few missing characters from Street Fighter II’ Turbo and such. The missing characters list is:

One of the biggest Toy shops in Benelux, Bart Smit has recently updated their product listing and whats been added is the long awaited (for Europe anyway) Dual Shock 3 Controller. Bart Smit have listed the controller to be released on the 1st of July.
Whether this is true or not is beyond me but we can only wait.
When all the Xbox 360 fan boys found out that the Playstation 3 exclusive shooter Haze ran at sub HD resolution it of 576p it got slammed hard and tried to make it look like a really bad game (and its not a bad game at all).
One of the Talk Playstation readers have e-mailed me asking me to make a post that Xbox 360 exclusive (or timed exclusive) runs at 585P. And that game is Ninja Gaiden 2. Does this mean it makes NG2 a bad game? No. Did it make Haze a bad game? No.
This is currently a rumor… A user over at the Beyond3D forums has said the following:
“it seem 1120 for horizontal but need confirmation, there are not good screenshot for horizontal check. for vertical 585 it’s relatively sure and reliable 1120×585 would be another type of anamorphic resolution, opposed to the other classic anamorphic 1024×600 use in some X360 (COD4, PGR3, Oblivion, TR…)
but there are little more pixel in 1120×585 than in 1024×600 and 1120×585 is the better use of the EDRAM space that i have seen. it’s 9.998MiB, just a 2KiB residue unused. maybe it explain this choice”

It doesn’t matter what resolution the games run at, its how well it plays. I just thought i would stick up for the Playstation fans and just get a point across. Resolution = means nothing. Steady frame rate = vital.
The Metal Gear Online beta is long gone now however it won’t be long before we will be stealthing online again because it will be released with Metal Gear Solid 4 on June the 12th. Below is a Japanese video of a map called Urban Ultimatum.

First Fifa 09 imagesI loved Fifa 08 and i hope Fifa 09 is even better. Fifa 09 promises bug fixes and a more realistic approach to gameplay physics. Take a look at the first details of Fifa 09. Fifa 09 should be released in the summer of 2008. The following shots are from PSM3 magazine.

The 80GB PlayStation 3 SKU bundled with Motorstorm will no longer be available. Sony confirmed this to Joystiq.
In Sony’s words:
“Retailers aren’t getting any new inventory of the 80GB Motorstorm bundle,”
Please note that this does not mean the 80GB model is out of production it just means that MotorStorm won’t be bundled with it. Instead Metal Gear Solid 4 will be bundled along with a Dual Shock 3 controller.
The Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle will appear in stores on June the 12th 2008.
Here is a new Street Fighter IV trailer. This game looks brilliant and brings back the old days when i played Street Fighter on the Mega Driver(genesis). Street Fighter IV should be released sometime in the summer.
