70% of released games are compatible with trophy system
70% of Playstation 3 games that are already released will be compatible with Sony’s answer to Xbox Live’s Achievement system, Trophies.
The July issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK states that:

Google search bar confirmed for PS3 Firmware 2.40
According to videogaming247, Playstation Network boss Eric Lempel, the firmware 2.4 update will include the Google Search Bar.
“We’ve addeed one more feature that we’ll talk about today,”
“This is something we did a few weeks ago on the PSP, with Firmware 4.0, and that’s the addition of a Google Search Bar.”

Official Trophy and gamer profile images
Thanks to sony-playstation.cz here are official images of the Trophy system that will be included in the next 2.4 firmware update. Looks like these rumors were true afterall.

Firmware 2.4 official release date
SCEE announced that firmware 2.40 will be available from July 2nd through automatic firmware upgrade after a long time of plea’s and requests/suggestions from users.

Prototype, an upcoming sandbox-style action game in development by Radical Entertainment and will be published by Sierra Entertainment. After being delayed, the game will be released in February of 2009.
