SAW the video game?Is it possible that we may at some point see a SAW video game? Bloody-disgusting.com have new information regarding the SAW video game that is aiming to be released sometime in 2009. Producer Oren Koules has been speaking with bloody-disgusting.com and he says to them that the video game:
“it takes place during the timeframe of the first SAW.”
“All the actors real voices are involved – and it is being written by Leigh Whannell and James Wan. The game will be available in October 2009 on all platforms, but the heads at the game company are not letting us talk too much about it.”
They mention that SAW will be a game where you walk through picking up weapons. I’m guessing this will most likely be a third person adventure horror game.

Street Fighter IV is the next game in the Street Fighter series. Capcom owns the rights to Street Fighter however the game is being developed by Japanese developer Dimps. Street Fighter IV will feature 3D backgrounds and characters/fighters, the game will still play and feel 2D as seen in the previous Street Fighter games. Street Fighter IV does not have a current release date yet but expect it around Christmas 2008.

A Kotaku reader named Josh was shopping in his local Meijer and he came across some price tags and stickers for the Playstation Network pre-paid cards. They were in the aisle of the Playstation 3 gaming section, they weren’t on sale they were just price tags taking up space on the shelf. One was for $20 and another one for $50. Here is a picture of the $20 sticker:
Sony are still keeping quite regarding a release date but judging from the above i’m pretty sure they are around the corner.
In March PSU posted a rumor regarding the Resident Evil 5 release date and they said we could expect RE5 as early as october. PSU have now received an update from a source saying that Capcom have pushed RE5 to be released in November.
“Sherry Birkin (the young girl who assisted Claire Redfield in Resident Evil 2) will play a role in Resident Evil 5.”
Resident Evil 5 takes place 10 years after Resident Evil 2 so that means Sherry Birkin is around 22 years of age.
A new trailer is set to be released on the 31st of May 2008. Also a mysterious countdown has appeared on the Official Resident Evil website. Take a look at it and tell us what you think this could be? Do you think it has anything to do with the upcoming trailer?

Dark Void gameplay videoDeveloped by Airtight Studios and published by Capcom, Dark Void looks promising. Dark Void has a mixture of gameplay features including foot and mid-air combat. The story behind Dark Void is that you must face an alien threat that was once banished previously.

Timesplitters 4 scansTimesplitters was a great success on the Playstation 2 with it being a launch title and sequels were just as successful. Developed and designed by Free Radical Design, Timesplitters 4 is on its way and should be released sometime towards the end of 2008 early 2009.

4 new Mafia 2 screenshotsMafia 2, an upcoming sandbox-style Third-person shooter, developed by 2K Czech and published by 2k Games promises to deliver a true gaming experience. Mafia 2 is tipped to rival Grand Theft Auto IV and is set in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Mafia 2 will be released sometime before October the 31st 2009.

Namco Bandai’s upcoming Playstation 3 beat em up Tekken 6 is to feature a whopping 41 characters. Director Katsuhiro Harada has said that all Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection will be returning except Jinpachi Mishima. Harada has also stated that 6 new characters will be introduced.
