Hideo Kojima has recently said in an interview that he may leave the Metal Gear series into the hands of his younger colleagues and the man himself will take a different role in the next Metal Gear game. Kojima said:
“Maybe I’ll sit in as producer and let the young staff take control of the new series. I really want to go on to new things.”
And here is a question he got asked:
Q: You’ve indicated that this will be your last “Metal Gear Solid” game. Are you looking forward to other projects or will you continue to be involved in the series?
A: “MGS will always be around. I feel a responsibility to continue this series as long as users demand it. But it doesn’t mean I’m going to sit in completely. I’ll probably take a different role in the next game. Maybe I’ll sit in as producer and let the young staff take control of the new series. I really want to go on to new things.”

Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway is to look around 15-20 percent better than Epic’s Gears of War in terms of visual performance. Gearbox president Randy Pitchford says:
“Hell’s Highway is Unreal Engine 3, it’s the engine that powered Gears of War,”
“Now since Gears of War, Epic’s invested a lot in the technology and it’s much better than what was in Gears. And we’ve worked a lot on this technology; so you’re seeing fidelity that’s about 15-20 percent higher than Gears of War.”
Who said Gears of Wars wasn’t possible on the Playstation 3? People kept saying that the Playstation 3 won’t be able to handle the graphics and power held in Gears of War but Hell’s Highway is meant to be 15 to 20 percent better (please note that i’m not referring to possible ports, i’m on about graphics power and visuals).
Hell’s Highway will be released for the Playstation 3 sometime in August 2008 and promises to deliver a true World War II first person shooter.

Now many people believe that was just a render and many other people believe that this is in-game engine. Believe in what you think.

Tom Clancy’s: EndWar demo will make its way to the Playstation Store sometime this year. Ubisoft told CVG that a demo will hit the store. The demo will precede two closed beta’s to make sure the game is well balanced.
Ubisoft content director Julian Geright said:
“The balance of these games is the win or lose of the games,”
Geright added:
“We’ve balanced it fairly well, but we’re doing two different beta tests – one limited and one much much bigger.
“And then a demo where we’re going to be able to balance on the results. We’re doing a playtest with professional gamers to make sure there are as few exploits as possible before launch.”
Balancing is very important in a real time strategy game and we hope that Ubisoft can get it right in their upcoming strategy game, Endwar.

If you haven’t already checked out The Bourne Conspiracy demo, download it from the Playstation Store, it was released on their a a week or two ago.
