160GB PlayStation 3 Announced
This Fall Sony is releasing the new SKU doubling the storage of the 80GB. No new functionalities are in the new SKU. The 160GB SKU has been priced at 499 Euros. The release date for the new SKU is October 31st for the European market. There are also 70 Euros worth of downloadable content bundled in with the new PS3 model. Its unknown what the downloadable content are being bundled in, but keep an eye for if we update with the downloadable content being bundled in.
UPDATE: The 160GB PS3 Model has also been announced for America, with the price at $499. Releasing in November, the new model will come bundled with Uncharted, DUALSHOCK 3, and a voucher for a PAIN download.

A strange decision. Cheaper to buy a 40GB and upgrade the drive yourself – you could create a 320GB PS3 for less than that.
At current rates, 499 Euros is around GBP395. You can get a 40GB for GBP299 and a 320GB drive for around GBP70.

It is a good bundle, but I can slap on a 500GB Hard Dive cheaper than that.
